My silnylon Notch had tie outs at the bottom of each fly panel. Â Securing those with pegs (would take 4 total), and the tent would not budge in windy conditions.
Does the Li version not have these tieouts? Â It is a lot to ask of a non freestanding tent to maintain shape in windy conditions with only 4 pegs.
What about your Moment? Do you still use that?
MLD seems to have the 8″ Eastons in stock, FWIW.
Hi Karen,
I’ve found that with my Notch Li I need to stake out at least one guy line, usually on the side opposite my chosen door side so I’m not tripping over it.
That one guy line seems enough to tighten the catenary cut of the ridge just right.
I use standard and twisted MSR Ground Hog stakes. Twisted for the fly at each door for more hold in the ground B/C there’s more strain there.
