Those Zem shoes look interesting, but it looks like their terra trail shoes only have traction in forefoot?

New balance makes their minimus in a wide, I need that over the regular width. I find the trail glove too narrow in the midfoot.

The Zem shoe looks like it has ridges along the heel that might give some traction.  I find I only need traction under my ball/big toes and some along the front of the toes.  I summer hiked in the Whites for several years in my Kigo Drives, and they have no lugs.

Some other more minimalist ones I’m interested in trying:

Merrell Vapor Glove – no lugs, but should feel similar to my Trail Gloves and a bit lighter

Inov-8 Bare-XF 260 – looks like they stopped making them, but looks like good shoes for going sockless

Sockwa G4 – basically a water shoe, but looks the best for trail running, especially in wet snow – I was debating getting these instead of getting WPB socks to use in my Trail Gloves in winter

Does anyone know what the deal is with Zem gear? It seems like most sizes are sold out online or I can’t find certain models. Attempts to contact them have been unsuccessful. Are they no longer in business?
