Staking Duomid to ground

Seems to be quite a few MLD mid threads floating around. Here’s another.

Is anyone else staking the four corners of their Duomid directly to the ground? I removed the line locks and have been placing a stake directly through the nylon loops. It’s been great for a number of reasons, but can you think of a situation where this could be a negative. I’m not worried about condensation because the mid hem guy lines allow for some fresh air.
