I’m planning on hiking North from Sonora Pass on the PCT in the next week or so and was wondering if anyone has any info on snow levels or snow problems (e.g., icy snowfields over the trail) just north of Sonora pass. I’ve checked the PCT sites and there doesn’t seem to be much current info. Thanks.

If you’re on Instagram search for the user ‘trailpaint’. They recently posted pictures from around there.
Watch the “Class of 2016” Facebook page. There was a new report today that at 20 miles north of Sonora Pass an experienced hiker turned around as the terrain became very very dangerous.
Here’s another warning by the PCTA

The PCTA warning appears to be from North of Hwy 4. I’m interested in the section from Sonora Pass Hwy 108 and south of Hwy4. I’m not a facebook member so that doesn’t help.
Anyone have any first hand knowledge of any potential issues especially just north of Sonora Pass at Hwy 108.
Thanks…
I finally got into the appropriate part of face book and found some good pics of Sonora Pass.
Thanks everyone for your help.
Just got back from hiking from Sonora Pass to Ebbetts Pass. One small, but potentially nasty snowfield south of the notch into Wolf Creek Lake and significant snow for about 2-3 miles North from the notch. Nothing significant beyond that. Snow is melting very quickly.
