Hi there!

I’m using NeoAir XLite 3/4 length 216 grams + sit pad under legs which is a 100gr foam pad. The sit pad is great for stops especially when it is snow/wet/cold. I’m using EE 20* quilt and ZPacks Duplex tent. So far so good. Never tried it in real winter. Only somewhere about -5*C

Thought I’d revive this thread. I still have not come up with an alternative. Thought I’d like to try the Mammut Alpine Pad that Don mentioned combined with a short Neoair or Klymit Inertia Xlite … but it appears that Mammut pad is no longer made.

Anyone have additional ideas?

My fantasy pad right now is a short Neoair that starts off full thickness then tapers down to the thickness of a closed cell foam pad. This CCF pad would be attached to the Neoair and be 24″ long so the length of combined pads would be ~72″ long. A hybrid pad with no drop off, thick padding where in the shoulder and hips and enough for the legs/feet.
