As the title suggests, I am seeking sleep aid in the backcountry. I have optimized inflatable, quilt, pillow, etc. Mostly I have trouble sleeping worrying about animals and the like. I stumbled across Wilderness Athlete Unplug, which has good reviews but only on WA’s site. I know sites can control their own reviews so I am curious as to why I do not see reviews on other sites. My sister who is a dietician checked out the ingredients and it all seemed fine enough to her.
Has anyone used this product and have thoughts on it? I am open to other sleep aid products, but not looking for your list of 10 here. Mostly I’m curious about this specific product. Thank you!

I suspect they won’t have any effect. I have read such products often don’t have the ingredients they say they have. If it works, even if the placebo effect, then what the hell…
Another product that might be placebo effect is edible CBD or THC
I have problems sleeping which is worse as I get older. Keeping a regular schedule, doing boring things before going to bed,… help. The VA cbt-i website has some good stuff. I don’t know that that’s so much applicable for the wilderness though. I tend to sleep pretty good in the wilderness but not always.

Research. Know what’s out there. Know your odds. Follow proper procedures when cooking and storing your food. It helps relieve anxiety.
Buy the extracts and try them separately. That way they’ll know what killed you. Seriously, I’d look for each one separately. Maybe in tea form rather than extracts.Nov 30, 2024 at 10:04 am #3823349Dr. Parsley’s sleep remedy powder in a glass of hot Herbal Apple Cinnamin tea helps me. I look forward to it at the end of a long day. Not sure how the ingredients vary from the product you are researching but it shouldn’t be hard to compare them. Good luck with whatever you try. I’ve struggled with sleep for the last 15 years and know all too well how harmful lack of sleep can be.
