Hello, i have a permit to hike from Rancho Del Oso on Waddell beach up to Lane camp ground. Wondering if anyone happens to know the mileage for it? Can’t find a map with mileage markers.

I do not recommend taking water from Waddell Creek. The creek is heavily impacted by run off from the inadequate septic systems inside the State Park.
This time of year there are multiple streams running into Waddell Creek visible on the map that are good to take water (and treat it).
Have a great hike. If you take the trail and not the bike path/road from Waddell Beach, you should see lots of spring wildflowers in the mixed pine and oak woodland above the estuary.
