Forgive me if this has been covered before. I don’t come here often enough to know.

At any rate, I know the Lunar Solo is dubbed as a one person tent. However, my wife and I just came off a 3-night self-supported whitewater kayak trip where we used this tent together. And I’m super pleased to report that it worked superb for us as a two person tent!

I’m 6′ tall 155 lbs and my wife 5′-8″ tall and 145 lbs. Both of us were using Neo Airs and bags with 5-6″ loft.

Though different folks will have different perspectives…. from ours, there was plenty of room for us and some gear near our heads….though the one near the door obviously has more head room.

I’ve been really impressed with this little tent. I’m even more impressed now, seeing it as a super light two person tent.

I love the Lunar Solo. Yes it has lots of room in there and could definitely get 2 people and gear in there if needed, like you said, not so much room for the person farthest from the entry door, but it does work.  Where did you whitewater kayak??

We paddled a tributary of the MF Salmon then paddled out on the MF. ~55 miles total.

Awesome! What kayak do you have?

I only ask because I have been getting into white water kayaking over the last 2 years and really have a blast out there! I have taken a few courses for skills and safety and am slowly progressing and learning!  We are running class 2 and 3 rapids currently.  I have a Jackson Antix  which I use for River running and I also have a Liquid Logic Remix XP10 that I use for more leisure trips and kayak camping.

The one I used for this trip is a Riot Magnum. An older design that I really like and haven’t wanted to give up. I need to retire that thing before it breaks on me out there though. The Waka OG, Billy Goat, and Stout look good to me.

I’ve slowed in the last few but I’ve been paddling for 29 w/ self-support being my focus. Here’s my website if you wanna take a gander: http://www.earthenexposure.com/kayaking/home.htm
