Curious about this set-up.  Don’t hear much about it and I have never actually seen one in person. I kind of like the idea of it, though it seems way too long in length for me.. Not sure I would like that “strut” or crossbar across the top either when packing it up.  I pitched my Lunar Solo the other day and I do love that tent, being single pole, simple to pitch and talk about spacious in there, with full bug protection. It feels like the same amount of room under it as the solomid pro.. Just with floor and bug protection connected.  So I was curious about the Skyscape Trekker.. few down sides for me off the bat were the long length, that crossbar.. and 2 trekking poles to pitch..

My kid used to have one. Great interior space for the footprint. Easy setup/breakdown.

We found one problem: The trapezoidal structure of the trekking poles and the spreader bar is inherently unstable compared to a triangle. My kid wanted to move on after a couple of long nights where wind shifted to the side and they spent the night sleeplessly holding onto their trekking poles to keep it from collapsing.

I believe they have updated how the spreader pole works but the experience left me weary of this type of setup, even if optimized. This was a while ago. I believe we purchased the tent in 2014 so this is not up to date info…

I believe it.  Hence my dislike of double trekking pole structures and that spreader bar.. or any tent with strut like things in them..
