Silpoly seam sealing same as silnylon?

I’ve seam sealed a few silnylon shelters using both straight McNett/GearAid SilNet and also using 100% silicone caulk diluted with mineral spirits.
Is sealing silpoly the same? I guess I just want to make sure mineral spirits won’t dissolve polyester.
Cheers,

I did it on my silpoly tent without problem – mineral spirits + silicone
Yeah it’s the same on the sil side.
Some silpoly’s are really sil/PU poly for various reasons (higher HH, non-slip, more abrasion resistant). If there is a PU side it’s likely to be on the inside to take advantage of the non-slip and ability to seam tape, so the odds of accidentally trying to seam seal the PU side with sil techniques is low, but plausible.
Most treads are poly or cotton anyway. Silicone/mineral spirits will soak into these and stick pretty well, regardless of the fabric.
