Shoulder strap water bottle pockets?

I’m looking for wattle bottle pockets, preferably ones that can be attached or routed from the load lifter straps. It seems that a holster suspended from the load lifter straps, but also secured to the shoulder straps to prevent sway, would serve as effective front-pack-style counterweights without interfering with line of sight to feet and terrain.

Is there anything like this on the market?

And are 1 liter bottles too big to mount on shoulder straps?

ULA packs come with shock cords and cord locks they call water bottle holsters. I think it’s common to use 1L smartwater bottles, but others would fit. I think Elemental Horizons and Zimmerbuilt sell pouches. HMG has a strappy thing, but it might be for the side of the pack, and Zpacks has a clip.

I use the Zimmerbuilt pouch for other stuff on my daypack because I don’t have a waistbelt w/ pockets. I haven’t used it for a water bottle.

The Canyon Strap is the lightest option I’ve found to hold a 1 L bottle securely. However, I don’t think hanging 1 kg+ off only one strap is very ergonomic.

I use Zpack’s bottle pouch with a 500 ml bottle which works fine, but I’m thinking of switching to a 1 L HDPE Nalgene to better offset the weight of my DSLR hanging from the other strap.
