I recently made an impulse buy on the Sherpa Lithang Jacket… Something about it just drew me in… It looks and fits most similar to Arc;teryx, but the fit is not quite as dialed in… The biggest pro so far has to be that it is QUIETER than the Garbage bag Goretex material… It also seems to be much more breathable in daily use, but I can’t verify this until i give it a go on the mountains… Looking forward to your thoughts on this brand… it looks promising from what i can tell

A slightly related comment:
My wife got a Sherpa Adventure hooded fleece on 50% sale before hiking the PCT and it was a perfect layer. No issues with quality. If more stores had Sherpa clothing I’d probably be willing to give some of their stuff a try, but without being able to try on for fit I’ve been hesitant. I’ll be interested in hearing what you think of that jacket.
BCap, if you can find an arcteryx piece, it fits very close to that brand in my experience (for hardshell). So M in Arc should be a M in Sherpa
I own the Lithang and it’s phenomenal all around. Nice fit and cut that is similar to Arcteryx, meaning trim and athletic but I can comfortably layer a synthetic puffy under it.
With plenty of pockets and pit zips you’ll have more ventilation than you’ll ever need. The face fabric is durable.
I mostly use the Lithang as my blizzard conditions hiking and ski shell, and never once have I felt unprotected. It’s basically bombproof for all snow conditions I’ve encountered.
In terms of overall quality, based upon the 3 Sherpa Adventure Gear Jackets I own, the cuts and build quality of Sherpa products are all first rate.
Here’s a pic from when I took it on its first test session.
