I’m in search of a shell pant for this upcoming winter, and I’m having a hard time finding exactly what I want.  Specs I would ideally like:

  • <12oz
  • Full zip so I don’t have to take my ski boots off
  • Some durability, but nothing crazy, a 3 layer shell would be great
  • Roomy enough that I could wear thick leg layers in cold climates

Any ideas?

These are my light backcountry ski pants: Arc’x Zeta LT Pant

I prefer not to have a fully-separating zipper (these go to the top of the thigh) because the zipper at the waist tends to be uncomfortable under pack hip belts, but these still make getting them off over boots easy (though you do have to remove your skis).

Those look pretty nice, thanks for pointing those out! I seemed to have missed those in my research.
