No reason, and not even backpacking, we saw this little guy and his mom from the road. Denali National Park. Husband took the photo from our van window. The pair walked down a long line of cars before heading into the woods. Calf is maybe a few days old? no more than 2 weeks, max. Definitely planning some backcountry trips in Denali right now! Hardly anyone there. And yes, it’s legal.

Thanks for the inspiration, Karen. Â I’ll be returning my college student to ANC in 9 days and then continuing north to a toxic waste site in Cantwell, so I’ll only be 27 miles from the Park entrance. Â I should schedule an extra day and hike around a bit
Awesome photo, I need to share that with my wife. The moose usually stay up high near me, but a young female wandered into town last week and caused a lot of excitement.
