Discovery Fabrics list the   UPF rating for different colors. Under the specifications

The sewing is okay if you don’t look close. Lots of mistakes, but it all came together.

All the stuff I’ve sewn has defects, usually only noticeable by me

Not defective. Handcrafted. Like stonework. Sometimes if it’s too perfect, it looks fake. If you’re cutting joints with a saw, you wiggle it a little bit. Round off the corners. Chip it up a little.

Yes. And unique. Made with dedication and determination – a rare thing. ( I just realised I am serious )

Some of my stuff has been so ‘unique’ it went back to my spare fabric drawer. Whereas that shirt looks like you will use it.

    Yeah!

I made a down vest that was shorter than I intended.  I didn’t include the width of the bottom baffle.  So, now I keep harvesting the down from it for various projects

Thanks for the thoughts and advice. I put the front panel on backwards, face in, so I put the sides on backwards to match. The first one I did, I sewed one of the seams on the outside. I used it for cleaning tile in the bathroom. Measure once, cut twice. Having the right tools makes a difference. I like the clips. I hadn’t seen them before.

hmmm… I count measure once, cut once, measure a second time, since you’ve learned your lesson measure a third time, cut a second time

so that’s measure three times and cut twice :)
