I am flying into Phoenix in May on a Sunday morning and will be in Sedona starting between 12-1PM with sunset at around 7:30 (we have no problem hiking after dark for a bit if needed). The following day we will be heading over to Havasu Falls for a few days.
My friend and I have never been to Sedona so we are looking for recommendations for trail(s) that are scenic, rugged, and/or quintessential Sedona. On 3-4 day backpacks at 10k+ feet we average 13-16 miles with 30lb packs. We use GAIA for maps. Ok with scrambling but only limited exposure – we don’t have any technical climbing skills. Thanks in advance for any recommendations!
