With the help of many of you I have completed my first backpack. It has been a steep learning curve! And now I am thinking of using a waterproof spray on the seams. The pack is made of Xpac and Cordura, both waterproof. I am wondering if there is any utility to spraying the seams to make them more water resistant. I am not trying to make a waterproof pack–I always use a liner. I am not interested in taping, but it I can make it more water resistant easily, then I’m in. Any one have experience using spray on the seams? Thanks!

Alright, I’m taking the silence to mean that I should try it and report back on how it works.
I have painted the seams with diluted silicone (same as tent seam sealing) . That penetrates the seams and swells up the thread (if porous) a bit. I doubt very much that , because of abrasion, a spray would be effective.
No experience with spray. But urethane sealers will stick better to Xpac and cordura than silicone ones in my experience.
That said, I wouldn’t bother since the cordura will lose it’s waterproofness so fast anyway.
