I have been using a Sawyer Mini on a Smartwater bottle and it has worked well. I got a new backpack which has large pouches on both sides that can accommodate a 32oz Gatorade bottle. I’d like to switch to the Gatorade profile of shorter and wider than the Smartwater bottle.

Is there any Sawyer filter that fits on a 32oz Gatorade bottle? In the alternative, is there a way to jerry-rig the Sawyer Mini to fit on the Gatorade bottle?

How are you gonna squeeze a Gatorade bottle?

A bit outside the box, but you could put the filter inside the bottle, then use a bladder hose/bite valve and run it through the cap with a rubber grommet. Put a second, tiny hole in the lid or one of those itty bitty duckbill valves to eliminate vacuum lock.

Another idea – there’s a product called SmarTube which has a cap specifically for Gatorade bottles. The smaller male thread on that *might* be the right thread for a Sawyer filter? That would be a perfect adapter if the threads are right…If it doesn’t work you could always use it for suggestion #1!

Just carry a 1 L platy for dirty water 0.78 oz, and squeeze it into gatorade bottle.

Befree filter has a different thread size I believe.  Similar to Sawyer except filter goes inside bottle.

I’m going to get the Befree 1L and squeeze filtered water into 32oz Gatorade bottles. I’ll bring my Sawyer mini and its pouch as a backup.

Thanks!
