I’m visiting family in Salt Lake City in mid October and wanted to do a 2-3 night hike. I don’t know the area and so I bought the Falcon Guide for the “High Uintas”, but that guide indicates that we should be prepared for possible snow storms at that time of year.
Is the High Uintas the wrong place to target? Any suggestions for alternative hikes out of Salt Lake City? Any other guides/resources I should look at?
