SULers, if you haven’t seen it yet take a close look at Ryan Jordan’s excellent review of Tarptent’s new Aeon ‘mid solo tent. I am very impressed with this tent mainly because Ryan gives us so much detail coupled with his extensive experience with other similar tents.
The AEON is a single wall tent with integrated netting door and Dyneema floor for a bug-proof, creepy-crawly proof tent that is lighter than a ‘mid with a separate inner tent.
Single wall? What about condensation? Well this tent is very well vented to encourage air flow from bottom to top.
There are so many improvements on the basic ‘mid design that you owe it to yourself to read the review and watch the video.
