My fav sleeping bag, my Feathered Friends Egret, is finally after many many uses, starting to leak tiny feathers on the seams. No big holes or tears, just a few along the seams. Most of the down bags I’ve owned in the past didn’t last this long before leaking feathers, so not complaining about this bag at all. It has been very very well used! But I’m wondering if this is just going to happen sooner or later, and I should ignore it, or try to patch wherever I see the feathers. They’re tiny and only along seams. Patch or ignore?
I feel like I don’t do a great job of fixing my gear in general, although I try. Or maybe I’m always trying to keep things going long after they’re done. I mend all the toe holes in my socks too, when I should probably relegate them to the rag bag.
