Reflx™ Reflective GuyLine from Litesmith – 10% off

Peter, do these come in 2.8-3mm?  I need to replace the lines on my MLD Speedmid.  I am using Lineloc 3s.

In my opinion, LineLoc 3s work best with a line around 2.3 mm diameter. The line MLD supplies with their mids is larger than that. I find their line difficult to tighten and loosen. The 2.3 mm line adjusts easily yet holds firm.

I’m sure your line is good stuff.

But in my experience, no line less thick than 3mm always holds firm in lineloc3s.  The clue is in the name.  I’ve tried plenty and have made them all move despite claims to the contrary.  They hold firm, until a wet and gusty night, then they don’t!

My Tarptent Scarp original line (2.5mm?) was very slippy in lineloc3s,  but not until soaked and buffeted by winds.

That’s why MLD only recommend 3mm line for lineloc3.

I have picked up some 1.1mm to try out with my tarp.  I am curious to see how well they hold up compared to Z-line.  I am able to get well over a thru-hike out of Z-line and the thickness is close.  I like the reflective cord but have found most of them only come in larger diameters.  Thank you for the discount and quick shipment.   I like the looks of the line a lot and am hopeful that this will become my line of choice.
