Planning on doing the TRT this coming summer – most likely in late July or early August. For those who have hiked it, can I get away with a 40 degree quilt?

I have a Katabatic Alsek 22 and an EE Revelation 40…. and I’d rather cut weight/bulk. I’m a med-warm sleeper. Using Exped Synmat UL7. I’ll also have my Arcteryx Cerium hoody.

Good pad, check. Down hoody, check. Unless you get a cold front, I think you’ll be fine with the 40º F quilt. Normally lows will stay above freezing – most likely closer to 40º F. Game day decision, really. If the forecast calls for cool weather, maybe add a light pair of insulated pants for extra insurance.
