I have several Apex garments (and a lightweight quilt) that I take hunting in my pack. From a longevity standpoint, am I better off taking each item out of it’s stuff sack daily and restuffing the next or best to leave it in it’s dry bag until used? The quilt isn’t used often, so it would remain in a packed condition the longest (about a month), the other items get used more frequently.
I’ve been using dry bags that are slightly oversized so I’m not mashing the living hell out of the item, but they are being compressed.
From a convenience standpoint, leaving them in the dry bags would be nice, but don’t want to prematurely wear them out either.
So is it the number of compression cycles or the length of time compressed that is the bigger culprit on longevity (or lack thereof)?
Thanks in advance.
Mike
