Hey folks, if you own one of these – do you get the 60 hrs advertised battery life when navigating? If you have the Fenix 6x pro solar – do you get more 66 hours as advertised?
Garmin Fenix 6x pro: is there a way to have your gpx route and see where you are with respect to the route without starting the “navigate” mode? In Navigate mode, you start getting the on trail and off trail alerts/vibrations etc. I really don’t want that as it drains battery and if you are doing off trail, you just want to know general direction – not necessarily if you are on the track you drew etc. Is there away to turn the “on trail” and “off trail” notifications? I can turn off alerts/vibrations…..but, the “on trail” and “off trail” messages seems to still show up. I really want to know if we have a mode like gaia GPS/caltopo/guthook on a phone – where we really don’t say navigate etc. Just download GPX and we can see where we are with respect to the GPX track.
Coros Vertix: I think there is a way to disable the “Deviate from trail” etc. Though Coros Vertix only has GPX breadcrumb….no maps. Can it display waypoints I have created on GPX track?
