In this morning’s email newsletter, I summarized recent updates on where we are headed regarding third-party tracking, cookies, programmatic advertising, security, and user/member privacy at backpackinglight.com.
We’ll continue to post updates in the changelog as we go on this journey.
The last remaining third-party service we still use is GA4, but we’re investigating options. I’m keen to hear from tech-savvy devs about which analytics options are worth considering. We may end up just building our own.
Today’s Blacklight report is pretty clean, which is very exciting for me as a digital publisher (the only positive hit is Google Analytics, but we have disabled all ad tracking in there).
