    Probably been done before —

    Got tired of looking for sticks to hold out the end-panels on my shelter.

    Cut up a Walmart $4 carbon fiber arrow, removed the fletching, added a “joiner”, don’t need shockcord.

    Reduced the diameter of a 1/4″ wood dowel, with help of a drill motor and a sanding block, until it fit. Epoxied it in place.  Chucked up the epoxied “joiner” and sanded off the graphics. Added a thread protector to give the dirt end more contact area. The arrow nock holds the line quite well.

    31″ tall, 1.70 ounces per pair, $8.15 per pair.
