Turning 50 this month and want to get a new fleece jacket for myself. Haglofs has a Polartec Power Stretch one I like and Mammut has a Polartec Thermal Pro one I like too. What is the difference between the two fabrics?

Thanks.

Power Stretch has a hard face, more stretch, less warm, slower dry time.

Thermal Pro is the warmest fleece, classic fuzzy feel.

Off the top of my head I’m not sure which blocks more wind.

powerstretch blocks some wind (not a ton) …. thermal pro generally doesnt

that said if you have a windshell thermal pro is “the best” fleece IME … warmest, most breathable and fastest drying

and it laughs at the rain gods when soaking wet … it still feels merely damp as its so fluffy and fuzzy … just wring it out and yr all set to go

;)
