What’s everyone listening to? Doesn’t have to be backpacking or backcountry related.

Ive been getting into “Inside the Adventure”. Particularly the episode with Dan from Bedrock. Listened to it a couple of times now. The environmental impact issues he talks about really resonate with me.

Also, Joe Rogan and ABC podcasts (mainly Conversations).

I often listen while I’m backpacking, especially if the radio doesn’t get reception

https://www.moneyfortherestofus.net/ – Nominally financial advice, but he also talks about economics, philosophy,…

    http://www.econtalk.org/ – Economics – He’s a libertarian, often interviews non libertarians

https://www.vox.com/the-weeds – Liberal, data based economics

John Zahorian (FKT on the JMT, etc) apparently just started a podcast, which should have content quite relevant to our pursuits!

I don’t listen to it often enough but I find Radiolab covers a wide range of subjects in a fun, idiosyncratic way. If it’s on the radio while I’m driving some place, I find it hard to leave the car. If some one is with me at the time, they find this very irritating….but I can’t help it. I just can’t let go…

The only problem with radiolab, is I listen to it on the radio, so if I download the podcast I’ve often already heard it

Which is a backhanded way of agreeing with you : )

An enthralling 18 episode (plus bonus episodes) account of organized crime, politics, cultural echoes, and social issues all mixing together in one corrupt stew that is called “Rhode Island.”  Covers the 1950s to the present.

If you enjoyed “The Wire” or  “The Departed”  you may enjoy this podcast as well.  If you enjoyed BOTH, you’ll really like this podcast…

Yes, it is about my former neck of the woods, but the story and subject matter has been engrossing for many people.

I like Joe Rogan #901 with Dr. Rhonda Patrick (nutritional health stuff).

Available on Youtube or itunes for the free podcast.

Other Rhonda Patrick podcasts can be found at FoundMyFitness on itunes.

    @10-7

I’ve recently started listening to Routes Podcast.  Recently because there’s only one episode and it was released on Wednesday.  The MC is a bit of a loose cannon.  :) edit podcast also mentioned above.

I just sub’d Joe Rogan Experience after watching a couple of his podcasts on YouTube.

This American Life (bought their app as well) is at the top of the heap for story telling.

The Dirtbag Diaries have long been a favorite of mine and I’ve listened to some of their episodes multiple times.  I give them an A+ in story telling as well.

A friend of mine and one of his associates just started a podcast on Soundcloud, Are we getting fired for this?.  First (and only) episode is kind of all over the map.  James and his co-host are both from my town and touch some on some of the prevailing juvenile delinquency that existed here in the ’80s.  Both are in PDX now so I suspect there will be some content that is specific to that area as they move forward.
