It looks like you have several options for the clean water side of things, which is nice. But I still don’t know about the dirty water bladder. I’m repeating my questions, in case someone knows:

1) Do they sell bigger dirty water bladders? 1 Liter is pretty small.

2) Is there a way to use the bag in a drip system? It doesn’t look like there are any places to tie a cord (unlike a Seeker bladder). Worse yet, it looks like they trimmed the plastic on the outside, so you can’t even punch holes (as I’ve done with previous Platypus bladders back in the day).

And last:

3) Can I use a Seeker bladder as the dirty water bladder? If so, it would seal the deal for me.

Ross,

I don’t think a larger dirty bladder is available from Platypus, but you could use a CNOC or another 28 mm opening reservoir/bottle on the inner threads to gain some extra capacity. The one-liter size works for a quick filter at the source and then I usually take another liter in the bladder for future filtering. You may have other needs of course. No room to punch holes as you suspect, but again, there are other possibilities. The Seeker bottle is not one of them. Not sure how you would attach tubing to the filter output in gravity mode, but we have creative forum readers who will rig something I’m sure.

Thanks Robert. I never use tubing for gravity mode, but just attach everything using a coupling. I use a Tornado Tube, but the threading isn’t quite right — part of the reason I wouldn’t mind a new system. My current setup is Seeker as the dirty water, Platypus as the clean one, with a BeFree filter. It is easy to attach some cord to the Seeker.

Anyway, thanks for letting me know the filter size. I was hoping it was the same as the BeFree, but it is narrower. I might give the CNOC bladders a shot.

I recently lost the 2 covers of the Platypus QuickDraw Microfilter System, both the bag and the filter.

Can someone help me which cap I can replace, the brand is taking a long time to respond to me, it’s been 2 months without a response, I could buy it but they don’t respond…

Call Platypus directly.  Don’t rely on the web page or email.  They were non responsive until I called them, then they were terrific.
