Hello. A bit off topic– I’m looking to purchase my first helmet. I’ve rented them in the past but thought it was time to finally buy one for my upcoming trip up Rainier. The Petzl Sirocco caught my eye for being one of the lightest helmets on the market. Other than price, are there any downsides to this model compared to something like the Meteor? I’ve read durability is an issue, but I’m not exactly sure what that means for a helmet. Thanks.
make sure you try it on first with and without a beanie/hood
helmet designs are VERY fit specific, if a helmet doesnt fit properly its uncomfortable at best and dangerous at worst
the sirocco will work just fine its actually MORE durable than the meteor
