Patagonia Thermal Airshed Jacket-Better Management of Heat and Sweat?

It seems like an update to the Nano Air Hybrid which had some low-loft active puff on the front and arms with a more breathable thick woven material on the back and inside the arms. A great piece. I have a few. This seems to skip the thick woven stuff and replace it with a non-puff layer of breathable face fabric. Sounds great to me. Get that.

I do love the Nano Air hoody too, but it needs to be cold to wear that while moving.

I hoped this would be an upgrade to the Nano Air Hybrid (which Max and I fully agree on along with the Airshed Pro; excellent!), but I duly defer to his opinion on the Airshed Thermal before I try one. If he says run away… at this point, yes, run away. Non-stretch? Non-starter for mid-layer active insulation.

Wow! Thanks so much for the insight Rex.  Max’s review was really helpful.  Very glad I reached out to this great BPL community.  I really appreciate all the help here.  I think I will keep to my R1 and wind shirt layering system for now.  Hopefully Patagonia will reintroduce the Nano Air Light Hybrid Hoody sometime soon.  Seems like that jacket was the bomb.  Thanks again.

I’ve gotten them used off eBay and they also show up on Patagonia’s wornwear.com.

Thanks Philip!  I really appreciate the suggestion for finding a used Nano Air Light Hybrid Hoody.  Perhaps that is the way to go!  I do a little searching.
