Paddy’s Ponder- The 42 Parallel North

Sitting atop the gentle 4,000 ft summit of Slide Mt, the tallest in the Catskills, the question arose:

How far would we have to travel (1|East ) and also (West ) on the 42 parallel to be at a higher location?

I could not find a site. Anyone have an idea?

I’ll play. Western Nebraska is on the 42nd parallel and gets to similar altitudes – approximately 1500 miles. Not sure going east.
