I have been looking at the Outsacks to protect my food from desert varmits:
http://www.simpleoutdoorstore.com/outsak.htmlProblem is the volumes they provide are calculated using a cylindar volume formula, but they are not cylindars; they are flat envelopes. So I would guess the volumes provided on their web site are overstated. So… my question is:
Can someone here tell me what size Outsack would hold as much food as a standard 650 cu in bear canister? I’m hoping someone has experience with packing food into both. The pics of the Outsacks that are spec’ed at about 650 cu in look a LOT smaller than the volume of a bear canister. The people at Outsack answer this question like a lawyer… very non-committal..
Thanks,
Billy -
