After I got my “unicorn” down parka, the LL Bean WIND CHALLENGER, I discovered that Outdoor Vitals had just come out with a very similar parka with the same staggered woven baffles as my LL Bean  parka. It’s the Nova Pro.
The Nova Pro is lighter than my LL Bean parka B/C my parka uses 650 fill  DWR treated down, slightly heavier stretch shell, double shell hood, shoulders and elbow-to-wrist areas. Otherwise both have pit zips and helmet compatible hoods.  And the pricing is similar. The Nova Pro has, if I recall, 800 fill down so is much more compressible.
I have absolutely no buyers’ remorse B/C my LL Bean parka is exactly what I wanted. I’d buy it again even shopping it against the Nova Pro. But if you want a lighter weight and slightly less expensive down parka for winter camping or skiing then the Nova Pro looks perfect.
