Got back to my home in the ‘Vegas valley yesterday after climbing out of the Grand Canyon from Indian Garden camp.
It was a North Rim-to-South Rim four day backpack and was filled with fantastic vistas, wildlife, great people and one VERY memorable “Bright Angel IPA” (real name) at the Phantom Ranch Canteen on Tuesday.
I hiked with Len Bacus, owner of the Long Range Hunting website. Since we are both in our 70s I dubbed it “The Geezer Hike”. Len had invited me to hike with him and I’m glad he did. Although I had backpacked the Grand canyon before for 5 days I had never been on the beautiful Kaibab trail.
Thanks Len. We had a great trip and checked another thing off out bucket list.
