where’s the one water source?  was it any good?  will it dry up in the summer?

Hi Jerry, the one water source is an irrigation canal that runs along the NW corner of the wilderness.   Its a fast flowing canal, but I don’t know how long the canal runs.  So if you do a loop, its important that you don’t start there, or you’ll be faced with an entirely dry trail.  We made it our halfway mark. There is actually another little pond in the same general area, but we didn’t go quite that far north.

Its beautiful and interesting, but a drag hiking through mostly sand.  Id go soon, or on a cooler weekend in the next few months!
