Should my OR Helium HD jacket look like it’s saturated immediately after it gets wet? It doesn’t seem to go through but it doesn’t bead up and roll of as I expected.

It sounds like the DWR is worn off. In my experience none of the newer DWR’s are worth anything, and I havne’t had great luck with Pertex Shield either.

It’s brand new, I’ve only worn it day hiking twice and around town a few times.

The DWR shouldn’t have worn off that fast – I might talk to OR.
