I’m planning a trip in Olympic NP later this summer and wonder if anyone has any info on some specific trails. What I have in mind is a loop starting at Deer Park, down to the Graywolf, up the Graywolf to Cedar Lake then over Graywolf Pass to the Dosewallips, upstream to Lost Pass over to Cameron Pass, then down Cameron Creek and back up the hill to Deer Park. I’m planning to do it in 5 nights. I did a variation of this loop (exited up Grand Pass to Obstruction Point) long ago (1988) and it didn’t seem difficult at the time. I’m an old guy now, and it’s pretty much the limit of what I can do, and might be too much if trail conditions are poor. The ONP trail conditions page isn’t much help (“no recent report” for most trails). I know from emailing rangers last year no maintenance has been done there since 2023, so if anyone has any info more recent than that on this area, I’d love to hear it. Thanks!
