Hi, I currently have a zpacks hexamid solo plus tent with netting and a bathtub made of DCF. I don’t like it for two reasons:
1) loud in the wind (flappy)
2) screen touches the ground and collects prickly things. I was in the desert and had a hell of a time cleaning prickly vegetation out of the mesh, aka alignment holes for poking through the bathtub floor.
A more minor issue is there isn’t much headroom near the foot or the head of the tent.
Also it’s kind of finicky to pitch super taught. I could add a couple guy lines, I’m using 8 right now. Maybe I need practice but it’s a ton of back and forth for me pulling harder and harder on the various guy lines.
So what is the lightest tent with a dyneema or nylon floor, space for 2 ideally, packs small, has a bug net (not on the ground) doesn’t flap in the wind, safe from rain and condensation. I’m ok with trekking pole pitches or whatever else as long as it’s a good tent.
