New backpack maker in Canada

I’ve watched some Youtube videos of Scott and Genevieve, including his videos about the backpacks he made for them for last year’s CDT thru-hike.

Now he’s making them to sell to the public…starting in a couple weeks.

I like their name. It’s hard to come up with an original name that includes “light” but they did it.

Apparently there aren’t many light weight backpacking gear makers in Canada. So “Northern” fits, and it’s simple and easy to remember.

I’m curious to see whether he sticks to a draw string closure or goes with roll down (might happen based on their videos).

This gives you an idea of what he’s going to be offering…

Their website has their first pack for sale. They call it the Sundown.

Very intriguing way to attach the hipbelt!
