I heard that on the terrestrial radio
I think maybe the existing law may allow too many lawsuits and delays to get projects done
I’m sure the Trump proposal will go way far the other direction, and make it too easy
There are some environmental laws that are currently too lax, for example they allow coal ash ponds next to coal plants, Occasionally one of them leaks and pollutes nearby waters.
Or, under W, fracking was mostly exempt from regulation. In some cases local ground water got polluted, as in “gasland”, except we don’t really know because they were exempt from regulation. Too bad they weren’t required to survey all local wells before fracking, then we’d know. And all reasonable precautions to prevent this. Obama tightened regulations. Trump now loosening. Crazy system we live in.
