Has anyone seen these in person? fill weight and total garment weight are missing from the web page so it’s hard to make an apples-to-apples comparison with other down jackets.  It doesn’t appear to be quite the same as the old GoLite Selkirk, so I don’t want to make assumptions regarding the specs.

Total weight for this jacket is 12.5 oz (unhooded version) versus 6.5 for my Selkirk (medium). The design and fit seem similar so I expect this jacket to be significantly warmer. It would be nice if they included things like fill weight on the site.

if you click on the words under the picture it takes you to a more detail description. I’m in the market for a puffy as well

At 13 oz and $175 it would be hard for me to choose the MTC over a Montbell Alpine Light for 1oz and $24 (list) more.  I have no experience with the the MTC but strictly from appearances it appears to have ~half the loft. From experience I know the AL is a toaster oven.

I’d bet a Montbell Highland at 12 oz and $105 is just as good as the MTC jacket…

Just got my “12.5oz” hooded 2017 jacket in Mens large.  It’s almost 14 ounces in real life, and based on the loft compared to the loft of my 2015 Marmot Zeus (3.5oz), I really, REALLY doubt that there is any way there is 145g of down in this jacket.

It’s going right back and it’s really disappointing – it’s pretty indistinguishable from a cheap uniqlo jacket.

Edit:  Sizing is large and unathletic – very potato-sack.  If you’ve ever purchased EMS outerwear, it’s pretty much that frumpy cut.
