MSR Trailshot – sanitisation

I’m comparing filters (again) and looking at the MSR Trailshot.

I see it only requires a few vigorous shakes when it starts to clog, but what about sanitisation?

Do people sanitise their Trailshorts as they would a Sawyer (with Micropur or bleach)?

Okay, I’ve purchased but not yet received the Trailshot.

Wondering whether my question is moot, since the cartridges need to be replaced every 1000l.
