I was wondering if there is a slightly more durable lightweight hooded down jacket out there. Something that might have 3-4+oz of down in it but have an outer fabric more like 40d or that can take an abrasion or two. It could weigh up to a pound and a half. And if it was closer to the $150 or less mark. It doesn’t have to be 800+ fill. Thanks.

Anything with a Gore Wind Stop outer would do you, I know you like EB for the length
I did try out a friends EB Downlight yesterday but it really wasn’t all that warm. I think I need a beefier parka.
Might be worth going down the gear swap route.
I have some over sized windshirts and windjackets for this very purpose. To protect my puffy’s from abrasion and punctures.
Since some of them are sewn through, wearing a windjacket/shirt over them helps to boost insulation a bit also.
I’m guessing it’s probably hard for you to find over sized stuff in general though?
Correct. The closest I have found so far is the Beyond M4 ast 13oz. The Montbell Highland Parka does look interesting though and has a 40d outer.
