So I like them a lot, I think. They are just so very pointy. I usually put my stakes in with my tarp inside the stuff sack. Never had any problems. I have been using DAC V stakes for many many years now. Now trying the MLD Carbon Fiber NanoNail stakes that came with the SoloMid Pro.. Just not sure how I wanna store/ carry them due to the extremely pointy ends. I definitely will NOT use a separate stake sack as that becomes 1 more thing to keep track of after I make camp for the night. And I am weary of leaving them separate on outside of my Nero Pack because for sure they would probably point a hole thru the mesh pockets. Im thinking my only option is tucked inside the stuff sack with the soloMid.. mindfully. Otherwise stick with my trusted V stakes. Any ideas?

Turn them half up and half down, bundled together so the heads shield the tips. Then I use a stake sack made from a seal a meal bag. It’s a little thicker and more protective. Cheap. I keep them it in with the tent.
Yeah, I may have no choice but to use a stake sack and just toss it in the stuff sack to keep everything together. Unfortunately now that’s 2 things added.. bummer.
I don’t know if this will work with your pack but like carrying stakes on a tiny metal s-biner outside of my pack with the stakes under the X of shockcord I like on most packs. The biner never leaves the pack and shockcord keeps things from jangling. No risk of puncture. No stuff sack to lose.
HMMMM… that is something possible.
You mean hang them like I do my trowel? That’s too obvious. Good idea
Probably won’t work for me.
My pack usually not full enough for compression straps to hold them tight enough. And I don’t like hanging stuff off outside of my pack
Rubber tie.
