I am trying to compare the BD Stance Mittens with 133g PrimaLoft Gold weight 2.4oz with Patagonia Nano Puff Mittens with 100g PrimeLoft Gold weight 3.4oz, is it correct to assume the Black Diamond would be warmer with with 33g more of insulation?

How much warmth does the brushed tricot liner add tho?
3.8ounce tricot would be about 4mm thick
I find that fit and design is more important than actual warmth where gloves and mittens are concerned and I wonder if the knitted cuff on the BD mitt would constrict blood flow at the wrist making them less warm than the Patagonia style. If my hands were cold and stiff I might find the Patagonia easier to pull on because of the pull-loop and open gauntlet style. I do know that if I bought the P Nanopuff I would be removing the elastic at the inside wrist as that is the absolute worst place for elastic IMO, just where most people have very sensitive nerves and blood vessels close to the surface.
