Has anyone done the Mee canyon and Knowels canyon loop in mid-March? My wife and I want to go for spring break and are not sure if that would be a good time to go.
We also want to know if anyone thinks the Mee canyon scramble would be possible with a dog?

Ryan, although I’ve never done the loop, I live nearby and hike in McInnis Canyons frequently. March is a sketchy time to hike there. The weather might be perfect, with warm sunny days and dry ground, or you might hit snow, rain, and mud, or any combination thereof. Something to keep in mind though is that there are seasonal road closures in the area. Best to check the BLM website. I don’t hike with a dog, but I’ve seen folks take their dogs into some pretty exposed places. Is your dog small enough to carry?
