Apr 21, 2022 at 12:04 pm #3747166Curious how long lyme disease has been around? Did the settlers and natives deal with this? Were they immune?
Apr 21, 2022 at 12:22 pm #3747168Lyme disease has been around for thousands of years. Prevalence in North American humans probably exploded after colonization, forest changes on the East Coast, and predator removal.

Apr 21, 2022 at 4:51 pm #3747211Anecdotal of course, but I’m seeing a substantial uptick (see what I did there!) in numbers in my area. Local places I’ve gone for decades+ without issue are now causing big problems for myself and especially my dog.
