Hi Wes,

I have two lightly used Osprey packs that my kids used when they were younger. One of them might work. Do you know the measurement from your son’s C7 to his iliac crest?

I’ve got a Deuter Fox 40, might fit great, might be too small… twelve-year-olds come in a lot of different heights!

His c7 to iliac is 18”   , long torso for 12 years old.

I have a Gregory Wander for sale. Highly adjustable, my son used it from age 11 to 16.

Here’s what I found: The red pack is an Osprey Ace 48. The suspension will extend to a max of 20″. The blue one is an Osprey Jib 35. The suspension on that will extend to a max of 19″. Both packs have a legitimate, vented suspension, hip belt pockets and built in rain covers (the rain covers are removable). I don’t think the Jib 35 makes sense for your son but the Ace 48 might work.
